ARSONISTS are thought to have targeted a car which was set on fire in the early hours.
Firefighters were called to a car at the roadside which had been set alight on Wesley Place in Bacup at 4.30am today.
The fire had spread to a second car next to it.
A fire service spokesman said: "Two fire engines and crews from Bacup were assigned to an incident at which a car at the roadside had been set alight, the fire spreading to a second car next to it.
"Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used two hosereel jets to extinguish the fire."
Nobody was injured.
Police were notified of the suspected arson.
