A ROAD was closed in Accrington last night when a car crashed into a dry stone wall.
It took place on Willows Lane at 1.45am this morning when a Range Rover Evoque collided with a wall.
Steve Horrocks, watch manager from Hyndburn, said: "The vehicle was destroyed by fire after the crash into the wall.
"When we arrived there was no-one at the scene and we shut the road and carried out a search of the area as some people can walk away and collapse or even be thrown out of the car.
"We were there for a couple of hours doing the investigation with the police."
