ACCRINGTON Library is to host a regular 'Teen Xtreme' every Saturday as part of Lancashire County Council's summer activity programme in its Hyndburn libraries

It lasts from 1pm to 3pm for young people to discuss favourite books, relax, plan volunteering events and socialise.

The library is also home to The Accrington Writers Group which meets fortnightly on a Friday from 2pm to 4pm. Complete beginners and established writers are welcome.

Activities that younger visitors to Oswaldtwistle Library can enjoy include a regular Baby and Toddler Bounce and Rhyme Time. It also holds a Story Time for pre-school children on Monday afternoons at 2pm.

Rishton Library hosts a Lego Club every Monday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm and a weekly Knit and Natter each Tuesday from 2pm to 2.30pm .

Great Harwood Library also holds a Scrabble Club every Friday and alternate Wednesdays from 1.15pm to 4pm. as well as am informal Reading Group on the third Monday of every month.
