CHILDREN attending Clitheroe Food Festival have the chance of win a prize by spotting pictures of special food items hidden in six town centre shops.

The photos go on display on Monday to give youngsters the chance to start their search before returning completed entry forms for the competition to the fundraising gazebo at the August 11 event run by the Lancashire-based charity The Rosemere Cancer Foundation.

The Mayor of Ribble Valley Cllr Stuart Carefoot will randomly draw a girl and boy winner.

Each will receive a backpack donated by Pete and Christine Gainsley, of Castle’s Street’s Purdieoak luggage store, who are committed Rosemere supporters.

They have arranged for the pictures of food items to be hidden either in shop windows or inside the stores themselves.

Youngsters can collect free entry forms from Purdieoak and other participating retailers as of Monday and start their hunt .
