A MARINA has fallen victim to a suspected arson attack.
Emergency services were called to reports of a fire involving at disused plastic-hulled boat at Lower Park Marina, off Kelbrook Lane, Barnoldswick shortly after 3pm today.
The boat was on found to be on part of a rubbish heap, officers said.
No-one has been reported injured.
A police spokesman said: "There were suspicious circumstances surrounding the fire at Lower Park Marina, off Kelbrook Road.
"The boat was on land and on part of a rubbish heap and the fire was put out quite quickly. No other details have been given at this time."
A fires spokesman added: "Firefighters from Barnoldswick and Earby dealt with a fire involving a plastic-hulled boat on land in the vicinity of the marina off Kelbrook Road, Barnoldswick.
"No-one was injured and firefighters used two hosereel jets to extinguish the fire, which they believe was started deliberately."
Enquiries are ongoing.
