A PET owner can be seen smearing dog mess on the front of a house.

The woman was caught on CCTV placing latex gloves on before picking up the poop and smearing it on the wall of the house in Park View, Padiham on Monday morning (July 23).

She is described as around 60 years old and walks with a distinct limp.

Officers said she has a small white dog and a small brown dog.

Police are appealing for anyone who has had a similar problem or who knows the woman to call them on 101 quoting log reference number LC-20180724-0775

A police spokesman said: “We are appealing for information after a dog walker was seen smearing dog faeces on the front of a house on Park View in Padiham on the morning of Monday, July 23, 2018.

“The person responsible was seen to place latex gloves on before picking up the faeces and smearing it on the wall of the house.

“The person is described as a white female aged around 60, she walks with a distinct limp and has a small white dog and a small brown dog.

“We appreciate the picture is not great in quality but if anyone has had a similar problem or knows the person responsible please can we ask that they call 101 quoting log reference number LC-20180724-0775. Thank you.”

Cllr Joanne Greenwood, who represent the area on Burnley Council, described the incident as ‘disgusting’,

She said: “There are health risks to smearing dog mess onto someone else’s property.

“It’s disgusting.

“I speak regularly to residents about dog mess and it is an issue they bring up a lot and is a problem in Padiham.

“Park View is quite a nice area so people walk their dogs regularly.

“If this is a case of the woman being annoyed about dog mess, it’s not the right to do.

“Anyone concerned concerned about dog mess should contact the council.”
