PLANS to build an extension to former barn and stables could be given the go ahead.

Elected members at Burnley Council are set to approve plans to build living accommodation at the south east corner of Bradget Hey Farm, on Burnley Road, Cliviger.

At present, part of the former barn is being used as offices for the applicant's plumbing business but it is intended that the business will be relocated shortly to a more 'appropriate' area. The offices will become living accommodation for the applicant's parents while the extension will be used as additional living accommodation.

The parish council has expressed concerns over the development on the grounds of over parking and that a business is run from the property.

Bradget Hey was formerly a collection of farm buildings which have now been converted to residential accommodation.

A decision will be made at Burnley Town Hall on Thursday from 6.30pm.
