DOWNHAM Hall’s beautiful gardens will be open to the public this weekend to raise money for The Royal British Legion’s Poppy appeal and Downham Village Hall.
People will be able to view the remembrance themed gardens this Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4pm.
As well as the gardens filled with herbaceous borders, roses and interesting vegetables, they can also enjoy home-made cream teas as well as prosecco and ice creams while listening to musical entertainment
Clitheroe Town Band and The Royal Preston Morris Dancers will be present on the Saturday and Barnoldswick Brass Band and all-female Malkin Morris Dancers headline on the Sunday.
Entry is £5 and children under the age of 12 and military personnel, showing relevant current I.D will be admitted free.
