HUNDREDS of fans gathered at Colne Cricket Club to watch England play in their first World Cup semi-final since 1990.
A huge fan park, with a 2,500 capacity, was set up for the game against Croatia, including several outside and inside bars.
Visitors from across East Lancashire were able to watch the highly anticipated match on a huge 21msq screen at the cricket ground.
Hundreds more fans gathered in Blackburn town centre to watch the game on the big screen outside the town hall.
Fans were in buoyant mood in the first half as England raced into a 1-0 lead, courtesy of a free kick from Kieran Trippier.
But a nervy second half saw the match finish 1-1 after 90 minutes. And heartbreak was to follow as the Three Lions lost 2-1 after extra time.
