SHORTLY after he was released from prison after serving a sentence for burglary a 35-year-old man was caught on CCTV committing similar offences.
Blackburn magistrates heard Michael David Dwyer would be recalled on prison licence as a result of the latest offences.
Dwyer, of Beddington Street, Nelson, pleaded guilty to burglary at North Valley Motors, Burnley Road, Colne, with intent to steal and burglary at the Alexandria Snooker Centre, Holme Street, Nelson and theft of cash.
He was sent in custody to Burnley Crown Court to be sentenced on July 27.
Parveen Akhtar, prosecuting, said the raid on the snooker club happened in the early hours.
Dwyer could be seen I the club using a crow bar to attack two gaming machines and remove an estimated £500 from them.
At North Valley Motors £400 was stolen and £800 of damage caused to the door which Dwyer forced to gain entry.
Mark Williams, defending, said his client was having difficulties getting back on his feet following his release from prison.
"Clearly, that is no excuse for what he has done," said Mr Williams.
"He is going back to prison on licence recall in any event."
