A TOWN flood programme will be outlined to residents later this month.

The Environment Agency (EA) is holding a public drop-in event to outline its plans to better manage flood risk in Padiham.

The EA is currently developing a scheme to reduce flood risk to the town from the River Calder and Green Brook.

The EA has been working closely with Burnley Council which has secured Local Growth funding through the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership to contribute towards the scheme.

People will be able to hear more about the work that has already been carried out, the solutions being proposed, and the approximate timescales the EA is working towards.

It will be held in the ballroom at Padiham Town Hall between 2pm and 8pm on Tuesday, June 26.
