A STOLEN wallet was returned to its owner by a 'good samaritan'.
Police have launched an appeal to find a 'good samaritan' who found a stolen wallet, which belonged to a pensioner, outside Marks and Spencer in Burnley town centre on Thursday, May 31.
The individual handed the wallet into a bank for the wallet's owner to collect, officers said.
The wallet was stolen after a thief targeted the owner of the wallet, an 81-year-old-man, and stole £400.
A police spokesman said: "Burnley Town Centre police are appealing for the good samaritan who found a gents wallet outside Marks and Spencer and handed this into the bank to contact them.
"The wallet was stolen as a result of an 81 year old being targeted by an individual and £400 taken."
