HOUSES in Darwen have no water or poor pressure after a burst water main.
Around 35 houses in Knott Street, School Street and Railway Road have had problems with their water since 6.15pm last night.
United Utilities (UU) engineers are at the scene and are fixing the pipe.
A UU spokesman said: "Repairs have started to the burst water main on Knott Street and our engineers are working hard to get this fixed and get your taps flowing normally again as soon as possible.
"In order to carry out repairs our team have isolated supply to the burst which has restored water to most of our affected customers.
"Those who live on Railway Road may still experience no water or poor pressure until the repairs are complete.
"This is a complex repair due to gas and fibre optic cables being within close proximity of our pipework.
"Repairs will be ongoing throughout the course of the afternoon.
"We hope to get the repairs completed by late this afternoon and all the properties will be back to normal.
"We're apologise for the disruption and thank you for your patience whilst we work to get this fixed."
