A DAUGHTER is looking for businesses to help her raise £10,000 for charity.

Caitlin Jones’ world was turned upside down when dad Nigel died from lung cancer on February 12, 2008, just two days after her 12th birthday.

Since then, the 22-year-old from Darwen has helped raise £30,000 for cancer charities to research and battle the disease, as well as East Lancashire Hospice.

Caitlin arranged a craft charity event, which took place at The Whitehall Hotel in Darwen in February which saw Caitlin and Tracy raise more than £8,000 for the hospice.

She intends to repeat the event next year and hopes to smash the £10,000 target.

A spokesman for East Lancashire Hospice said: "Caitlin is going to repeat the very successful Crafting Weekend event early next year but needs a sponsor to provide either 160 Jute bags or a sponsor at a cost of £300."
