TODAY'S programme of remembrance events for the Arena bombing in central Manchester includes:
8am to 11pm - Volunteers will be on hand to hand out message tags for members of the public to attach to the Trees of Hope on a special trail from Victoria Station through to St Ann’s Square;
2pm to 3pm - A public screening in Cathedral Gardens of the private memorial service at Manchester Cathedral attended by an invited congregation including the families of those who lost their lives, those injured, first responders, civic leaders and senior national figures. The service will also be live streamed at York Minster, Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral and Glasgow Cathedral.
2.30pm - A national minutes silence to mark the first anniversary
6pm - Albert Square opens to the public.
7.30-9pm - With One Voice at Albert Square. The scene of remembrance on the day after the attack, will host a public 'With One Voice' event where people can join a mass-singalong in a united act of remembrance.
Supported by choirs from across the region, the selection of songs aims to evoke pride and solidarity.
Dusk - 'There is a Light' at St Ann’s Square with selected song lyrics projected onto the pavements and buildings; and
10.31pm - Bells ring out across the city.
