A 41-year-old drunken man was arrested after urinating in a shop and abusing customers.
Blackburn magistrates heard that two weeks later John Bailey was arrested at Royal Blackburn Hospital where security staff had to stop him from jumping in front of cars.
Bailey, of the Islington Motel, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to two charges of being drunk and disorderly.
He was fined £60 which was set against the day he already spent in custody.
