EAST Lancashire students are celebrating today after chalking up another exceptional set of A and AS level results.
Almost all of the region's sixth form colleges have released results exceeding the national pass rates, which have themselves gone up from 96.6 to 96.9 per cent.
Burnley College has achieved 100 per cent pass rate for the third year running, and Westholme School in Blackburn is also celebrating 100 per cent rate. Others are not far behind, with a 99.6 per cent score at Nelson and Colne College, and 99 per cent at Blackburn and St Mary's Colleges.
