Part of a ceiling at a popular Bolton Restaurant has collapsed and pictures have been shared on social media.

According to reports parts of the ground floor dining area ceiling has collapsed on to the lower level of the Sizzling Palate Restaurant.

The restaurant has two dining areas, one on the ground floor and one on a lower level.

According to a video police and ambulance were on the scene at the restaurant which is based in the centre of Bolton on Bradshawgate.

Six people were injured.

Another user on Facebook also shared a video showing emergency services on the scene and posted, "Mad how something gets passed around as people make assumptions its the ceiling in the sizzling palate not a dancefloor .. hope everyones ok."
