TWO men who torched a Haslingden pub in revenge after they were thrown out have been warned they are facing jail.
Steven McGinty, 26, of King Street, Bacup, and Matthew Brierley, 22, of Tor End Farm, Haslingden, both admitted arson at the Roebuck, being reckless as to whether the life of Christopher Jones was endangered, on April 14.
Both denied the more serious charge of arson with intent to endanger life. McGinty also pleaded guilty to the theft of petrol.
The pair, whose actions were caught on CCTV, were bailed until September 14, for pre-sentence reports.
Judge Beverley Lunt warned the duo: "The offence you have pleaded guilty to is very serious and the almost inevitable outcome is going to be custody."
Michael Lavery, defending, told Burnley Crown Court McGinty had been thrown out of the pub and could be seen on the film footage pointing and gesturing.
He said the offence was committed in "drunk-eness and in temper."
