THE recent changes on service 4 (Blackburn-Leyburn Road & Chorley) are a complete farce, the changes that came in on 8th April are not frequent enough for the demand.

On more than one occasion this week (9-13th April) Pensioners and children have had to stand due to there being no seats available due to the bus being completely full.

In 2018, this is unacceptable and hope that The Blackburn Bus Company realise there mistake of removing the 15 minute frequency.

The new frequency is every 20 minutes to Mill Hill & Green Lane and every 30 mins to Leyburn Road, this is not good enough as the buses are full before they have left Leyburn Road.

Not to mention the withdrawal of the X41 from Blackburn to Manchester which is inconvenient due to people having to add an extra 30-35 mins onto their journey by having to catch the 7/7A to Accrington via Owswaldtwistle.

The buses on the route 4 are over 15 years old and are in need of replacing and should have been sent to the scrap yard years ago.

Route 1 Blackburn-Darwen-Bolton have recently refurbished buses on the route

These are the FJ58 plated two tone blue buses.

The company don’t seem to care about the little routes and are more interested in cutting them and isolating communities.
