TOMATO Ketchup is being recalled after fears the product may contain plastic.
Customers who have bought Happy Shopper Tomato Ketchup (440g - with end of March best before date) are being urged to return the product as it is 'unsafe to eat and presents a safety risk.
The affected product is sold in some Londis and Budgens stores.
A statement on the Food Standards Agency read: "If you have bought the above product do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
"Booker is recalling the above product. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all Budgens and Londis stores that are selling this product.
"These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
"No other Booker products are known to be affected."
The FSA issues Product Withdrawal Information Notices and Product Recall Information Notices to let consumers and local authorities know about problems associated with food.
In some cases, a 'Food Alert for Action' is issued for the product.
