A CATHEDRAL will host a prayer festival on Saturday.
Blackburn Cathedral will invite people of all ages to take part in their festival of prayer.
The free to attend festival will include a service by the Bishop of Burnley, Rt Rev. Philip North from 10.30am until 11.30am.
This will be followed by the event’s key note address which will be delivered by broadcaster Canon Angela Tilby.
Children will be given the opportunity to explore prayer in their own way, through the Messy Church event which will take place in the Cathedral Crypt and will run from 10.45am until 2.30pm.
Lunch will be served at 12.15pm and a variety of prayer workshops will be held in the afternoon. The workshops will be led by guest speakers including Rt Rev. Julian Henderson, the Bishop of Blackburn and The Venerable Michael Everitt, Archdeacon of Lancaster.
