CALLS are being made for volunteers to attend the first Rishton Festival meeting of the year after poor attendance last time out.
A meeting will take place tomorrow at Rishton People's Centre in School Street to plan the 2018 event, now in its 15th year.
Thousands of guests from across the county attended the 2017 event including members of local schools, churches, community groups and residents.
A parade marched from the Rishton Library car park along Cliff Street before arriving at Norden High School for a family fun day.
The event included fairground rides, charity and community stalls and beer tent.
Cllr Jeff Scales, who represents Rishton on Hyndburn Council, issued a rallying call to residents to attend the meeting.
He said: "We have been struggling for attendance at the last few meetings.
"It would be great if people could attend, to hear about the plans and get involved with helping to organise this year's event."
All volunteers are welcome to attend.
