MORE than 50,000 speeding tickets were issued by Lancashire Police during 2017, a survey revealed.
The nation’s speeding hotspots have been revealed after new research was released by car leasing specialist, UK Carline.
The leasing company submitted Freedom of Information requests to the UK’s police forces, with the results revealing which areas have caught the most instances of motorists exceeding the speed limit in 2017, as well as the top speeds people were caught travelling at.
Lancashire Police issued the seventh highest number of speeding tickets during 2017, racking up 51,455 tickets.
West Yorkshire was revealed as the area that issued the most speeding tickets during 2017, racking up over 142,000 offences.
