A TEENAGER who attacked a 16-year-old girl was given help by Burnley magistrates to manage his anger.
Nathan James Beards, 18, had headbutted the victim after a row in a park, flicked a lighted cigarette at her and pulled out her earring.
The defendant, of Alexander Grove, Burnley, admitted assault by beating and damage on April 19.
He was given a nine-month community order with supervision and must pay £35 compensation and £75 costs.
The bench told Beards the sentence was to teach him to manage his anger and not to drink so much.
