AN access visit to collect his children ended with a former Accrington man kicking open the door at his estranged wife's home, a court was told.
Hyndburn magistrates heard that Arshad Rasool kicked out because he thought the message coming from the other side of the door was that he was being denied access.
Rasool, 32, formerly of Plantation Street, Acc-rington, now living in Manchester, pleaded guilty to using violence to force entry to a house in Beech Street.
He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £30 compensation and £100 costs.
Bernard Horne, defending, said the case amounted to criminal damage, the only difference being the damage was caused to gain entry to property.
"There had been bad blood between my client and his estranged wife in the weeks before this incident," said Mr Horne.
