A 15-YEAR-OLD boy missed every school session over a six-month period, a court was told.
Hyndburn magistrates heard the efforts of education welfare officers had not met with any co-operation from the boy's mother, Jane Fensom.
And even since the decision was made to take legal proceedings the boy had not turned up for class.
An allegation that Jane Fensom, of Stanley Street, Accrington, failed to secure the regular attendance at school of her son was proved in her absence.
She was fined £250 with £150 costs.
Julie Lloyd, prosecuting, said: "Miss Fenson failed to attend meetings arranged at school and in the end it was felt there was no alternative but to take legal proceedings."
