A YOUNG male was taken to Manchester Children's Hospital after suffering 'serious' injuries in a crash.
Two crews from Bacup were called at 10.50pm to a collision between two cars on Market Street in Shawforth.
One person was given first aid by firefighters and another person has been arrested in relation to the incident.
Duty Inspector Duncan Arthur, said: "The road was closed for an hour while investigations took place and enquiries are continuing.
"The person who was taken to hospital is in a serious condition but not life-threatening or life-changing injuries."

A Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Two fire engines and crews from Bacup were called to attend the aftermath of a road traffic collision between two cars on Market Street Shawforth.
"No-one was trapped, there was no fire and firefighters administered first aid to a casualty, who was taken to hospital by ambulance.
One of the cars in the incident is believed to have been stolen.
