A CHARITY ball has raised thousands of pounds for good causes.
The ‘Venetian Masquerade Ball’ raised more than £8,500 for Pendleside Hospice and the Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
Elaine Waine’s sell-out sixth charity ball was held at the Fence Gate in Fence, nearly Burnley.
Money has been split equally between the two charities.
Elaine said: “I enjoy organising the events that raise superb monies but I could not do this without the kindness and generosity of family, friends and the support of local companies, all of whom will be thanked individually.”
On arrival guests, who were all family and friends, were treated to champagne and pianist Robert McLaughlin also performed.
Trawden string quartet then played through dinner and after the auction the casino opened, followed by dancing.
