A SECONDARY school has celebrated the work of pupils in the past year with its annual 'Star Awards'.
Colne Primet Academy’s recognised pupils for their achievement and hard work at a celebratory annual awards night.
The Primet students were cheered on by parents, staff and VIP guests as they collected their accolades, and these included the Mayor of Pendle Cllr David Whalley and successful businessman Edward Padgett.
Returning Year 12 students who left Primet after GCSE Results Day in the summer were also in attendance.
This included Lewis Gorton, 16, who after achieving eight A* grades and two As at GCSE won the Maths award and was named as the Student of the Year for Achievement.
Principal of Colne Primet Academy Lynne Blomley said: “The Star Awards is a highlight of the Academy calendar and yet again it was a thrilling night – celebrating the success of our outstanding students in front of family, friends and guests."
