A MAN who stole washing up liquid, washing liquid tablets and joints of lamb has been given a community order.
Blackburn magistrates heard how Mark Andrew Fisher, 31, of Edgar Street, Accrington, stole £70 worth of lamb from Iceland and £20 of Fairy Liquid.
Both those offences took place in Accrington on October 28.
The following day he stole six packets of Persil Liquid tablets from Fultons Foods in Accrington, and £35 of Fairy Excel Liquid tablets and Persil Gel tablets.
The court heard how Fisher committed those offences while he was subject to a conditional discharge, which he received on October 5 for theft from a shop in Accrington.
He pleaded guilty to four counts of theft and one of committing a further offence while in the operational period of a conditional discharge.
Fisher was fined £40 and ordered to pay £148 in compensation.
No order for prosecution costs was made.
