A TEENAGER who recorded an album for a leukaemia charity has shifted 60 copies so far.

The CD was recorded by Jamie Hamilton, 18, of Richmond Park, Darwen, after he gave his sister Kerry, 21, a life-saving bone marrow transplant.

Kerry was diagnosed with leukaemia in January and the brother and sister underwent surgery in May.

Jamie, who plays guitar under the name Colour the Sky, wanted to raise money for a leukaemia charity of Kerry's choice but also raise the profile of the bone marrow register.

The money raised by sales will go to ALUPAL, a group of people who are mainly past transplant recipients, leukaemia sufferers and their friends and relatives, who raise funds to help patients and families with the costs associated with long hospital stays.

Modern Working Class Hero, a collection of self-penned songs and a cover of Green Day song Time of Your Life is on sale in Cue Music, Bolton Road, and on Denise Gee's stall on Darwen market.

Jamie's music can be listened to and ordered from www.myspace. com/colourtheskyuk.

The six-track CD has a suggested donation price of £4 or £5.
