THE Ribble Rivers Trust is inviting the public to help plant a new woodland near Tosside on Saturday (25/11).
More than 7,000 native trees including Oak, Rowan, Birch, Field Maple and Wild Cherry will cover the four-hectare site in the Forest of Bowland.
The woodland at Tosside is one of six schemes by the Trust this winter to ensure15,000 trees are planted by March.
Jonny Walker, volunteer supervisor said: “We’re hoping to set a new Ribble Trust record for the most trees planted in one day.”
The work is being done as part of a three-year project called ‘Ribble Life Together’.
