TODAY’S delve into the archives of the Lancashire Telegraph has unearthed this gem of a photograph from 1966.
It shows the refreshment bar at the back of Blackburn Station situated on the cobbled street which formed the taxi rank.
Later known as The Cabin, the cafe was a favourite of those on the early shift as it opened early in the morning to serve tea and bacon sandwiches.
It was finally demolished this year as part of redevelopment work around Cathedral Square.
