STORM Brian failed to put people off attending the first 'Ozzyfest' this weekend.

The music festival for people with learning disabilities and autism was held at the Hipping Vale Community Centre in Oswaldtwistle.

Festival-goers got into the spirit painting their faces with glitter and dancing to bands including OK Broken and Chilly Red.

Organised by My Life My Way, in association with Pathways Associates CIC and NWTDT, the one-day event aimed to give people a taster of a festival in a safe environment.

Organiser Lynn James-Jenkinson said they sold all 220 tickets.

She said: "Storm Brian has not stopped us from having a good time.

"People have really enjoyed it and have been up dancing.

"It is the first one we have done and we want to do something bigger and better next time."

Janice Wycherley, volunteer, said: "This might be the first festival experience for some people and is a fantastic opportunity for people to meet old friends and new."
