A WOMAN has had a lucky escape after her car came off the road and landed in a ditch.
Police have put a road closure in place following the crash which has happened at Slade Lane, Padiham, at 7.35am this morning.
It is thought the woman had swerved to avoid another vehicle and came off the road. Her blue Seat vehicle then flipped onto its roof and landed in a ditch. She is not thought to have been seriously injured.
A police spokesman said: "We were called to Slade Lane, Padiham, at 7.35am this morning to reports of an accident involving a single vehicle.
"It appears a blue Seat car has overturned and gone into a ditch. The female driver of the vehicle has tried to avoid another vehicle but ended up coming off the road and into a ditch.
"There are no reports of any serious injuries.
"A road closure has been put in place between Whalley Road and the Barrowford By-pass."
