THE first ever Rossendale Film Festival will take place this month.

The festival, which is a collaboration between the Whitaker museum and art gallery and The Horse and Bamboo theatre, will be showing a host of films on the theme of 'migration' from Friday October 20 to Sunday October 22.

The Boo, on Bacup Road, Waterfoot, will be screening the crime drama O Brother Where Art Thou on October 20 at 8pm.

The American silent romantic comedy short The Immigrant, which famously stars Charlie Chaplain as an immigrant coming to the United States, will be screened on October 21 at 11am.

The children's film, Paddington, will then be screened at the Boo on October 21 at 3pm.

Tickets will cost £3 in advance or £4 on the door.
