A COUNCILLOR has told of his excitement as he prepares to answer questions about the future of Rawtenstall town centre live on Facebook.
Cllr Andy MacNae, Rossendale’s executive member for regeneration, leisure and tourism, will share his thoughts in an online discussion on Thursday.
The session, around the next phase of the Spinning Point development, will run from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
The Rossendale Together Barnfield (RTB) Partnership are seeking residents’ views on the next phase of the Spinning Point development.
Cllr MacNae, a member of the RTB Board, said: “I’m excited to go live on Facebook and answer any questions people have.
“It’s a new approach that will hopefully mean more people can have access to us to ask questions at a time and place that is convenient to them.
“Thank you also to all the residents who have already come out to talk to us about the future of the town centre.
“Residents’ views are very important because we want to create a town centre that everyone in Rawtenstall and Rossendale is delighted with and can be very proud of.
“We have a good track record of bringing in new investment and we will continue to do that.”
