A PROPOSAL to extend a nursery in Hoddlesden has been recommended for approval by council officers.
They have urged Blackburn with Darwen Borough Borough Planning Committee on Thursday to permit the the rear single-storey extension despite a previous refusal and four objections from neighbours.
The Stepping Stones Children’s Nursery at Mondeor in Hoddlesden, running since 1994, told the council said the addition would increase its capacity from 26 to 34.
It said the expansion was needed to keep government funding support.
East Rural councillor Julie Slater supported the objections from neighbours on grounds of noise, nuisance and road safety.
