A MOTORCYCLIST suffered 'serious head injuries' following a crash.
The incident happened in North Valley Road in Colne at around 5.30am and involved one vehicle.
Police said the road was closed westbound after the crash and reopened at around 8.45am.
The man has been taken to hospital for treatment.
Divisional response inspector Paul Gaynor said: "A motorcyclist had come off his bike.
"It was a single vehicle collision.
"The traffic team attended the scene while the road was closed.
"The rider suffered serious head injuries and has gone to hospital."
