THREE men have appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged in connection with an incident in Colne on Tuesday following which a man died.
Blackburn magistrates heard the men are facing a "holding" charge of wounding Stephen Pye.
Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said a post mortem examination had been inconclusive and further expert examination of the deceased' brain was required.

She said the results of that examination would determine whether the charge would be changed to murder.
Miles Andrew Whitfield, 41, and Mark Smith, 39, both of Allendale Street, Colne, and Anthony Joseph Turner, 64, of New Oxford Street, Colne, where all sent to Burnley Crown Court where they will appear on August 18.
All three were remanded in custody until that date.
