ONE of Blackburn Rovers oldest former players has died at the age of 91.
Ernie Edds made 19 appearances for Rovers between 1949 and 1951.
Born in Plymouth, Mr Edds joined the East Lancashire side and made 14 Division Two appearances in his debut season.
As well as scoring three league goals, Mr Edds scored against Liverpool in front of 50,000 fans at Anfield in the FA Cup.
A club spokesman said: "His funeral will take place on Thursday June 15th at Kingsdown Crematorium and Cemetery in Swindon.
"Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time."
