A BLACKBURN beanbag manufacturers which has been part of the town furniture for more than 30 years is up for an award.
Rucomfy started life as a market stall in 1982 and has since gone on to become a leading soft furnishing provider.
A highlight for the firm came in 2012 when 8,500 of their beanbags were used at the London Olympics.
The company is hopeful of another standout achievement this year after being nominated for a Hive Family Business Award.
Geoff Ainsworth, 33, who runs the firm with his family, said: "My dad set the company up in 1982 on the market, it has just continued to build from there. We are doing really well now. We take pride in our products and the service that we offer."
He added: "I'm hoping that we can kick on and win one of these awards, that would be a great boost."

Their collection of furnishings come in a whole host of different themes and colours, all which customers can modify to their taste and style.
