THE North West Food and Drink Festival will be coming to Accrington next month.
The event will take place on Saturday, May 6, at the Whitakers Arms in Burnley Road from 10am until 4pm.
Homemade food and drink will be on offer from local chefs as well as international cuisine in stalls held indoors and outside the pub.
Live cooking demonstrations will be taking place throughout the day by the head chef from the Whitakers Arms, Grant Smallridge.
Food on offer will include handmade chocolates, waffles, Mexican street food and macarons.
A spokesman for the event said: “The idea behind the festival was that we needed a new experience for local people, attracting producers from across the region to share their delicious dishes and treats.
“Every single trader is bringing something unique to the day.”
A competition will also be held for primary schools in Hyndburn to build a burger which will be on show at the festival.
The lounge area of the venue will be welcoming Cask Ale followers with six guest ales plus Whitaker’s Arms Best Ale will be available.
