TWO appliances from Hyndburn Fire Station were called to a home in Great Harwood at 5.30pm last night.
They dealt with a house fire in Hope Street and used four breathing apparatus while extinguishing the flames.
The occupant of the property had already escaped the premises and was safe outside, said crew manager Crhis Archer.
He said: "He was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation."
