TEENAGERS from Westholme School in Blackburn have been making comfort blankets as part of a charity project.
The sixth form charity team supported Lancashire Project Linus which donates the blankets to children who are in need of comfort due to premature birth, bereavement or other difficulties.
A school spokeswoman said: “The sixth formers were delighted to be helping this cause and also held a cake sale to try and raise money for fabric.
“They asked for donations of any fabric to assist in the creation of the blankets and were delighted to receive bundles of material from generous donors."
In Lancashire 3,100 blankets were made in 2016 with 400 made by the end of January.
