A 26-YEAR-OLD man burst into his former girlfriend’s home and demanded to know why she had stopped paying for his mobile phone and changed the passwords on his e-mail account.
Tom Duxbury, of Chatburn Road, Longridge, pleaded guilty to using violence to secure entry to premises and using threatening behaviour towards Rose Fryerkirby. He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £85 costs, £15 compensation and £30 victim surcharge.
Enza Geldard was at her home in Mersey Street, Longridge, with a friend when there was a knock on the door. She knew it was Duxbury and didn’t answer.
Later in the day she heard the front door being smashed in and Duxbury burst into the living room.
Scott Parker, defending, said Duxbury was upset about what had been going on with his phone and e-mail accounts.
“He knew she was in the house and he broke in,” said Mr Parker.
