PUPILS from Accrington Academy have had help from an international theatre company as they prepare for a big performance.
Tutors from Frantic Assembly, who work with young people in countries such as USA and Canada, held workshops with budding performers at the Queens Road West school.
Students from drama and dance in years nine, 10 and 12 worked together with Krista Vuori from the Assembly to learn new theatre techniques.
Pupils at the school will now be using the skills they have learn to develop a performance to be shown at the Dancehouse in Manchester on Thursday, April 20.
A spokesman for the school said: “We jumped at the opportunity to be involved in a collaborative project.
“It demands bravery and confidence, both of which our students demonstrated in bucket-loads.”
