BLACKBURN Rovers have announced Tony Mowbray as the club’s new head coach.

Rovers have announced the 53-year-old has agreed an 18-month contract at Ewood Park and replaces Owen Coyle who left the club yesterday after eight months in charge.

The club have announced their new head coach will take training for the first time at Brockhall this afternoon, as the players prepare for Friday’s Championship clash away to Burton Albion.

Mowbray’s management team will include David Lowe, who will step up from the role of head of academy coaching to become assistant manager, while David Dunn will become first-team coach having previously been assistant to Under-23s boss Damien Johnson.
