A MAN has been arrested and charged over a botched robbery attempt when he allegedly threatened a ten-year-old boy with a knife.
Daniel Shaw will appear in Burnley Magistrates Court tomorrow over the incident in Burnley Road East, Waterfoot, on Sunday February 5.
The 32-year-old from Tunstead Mill Terrace in Bacup has been charged with attempted robbery and was held in custody at Burnley police station over the weekend.
The incident happened at 9.30am near the Post Office after a 19-year-old woman had just withdrawn some money from a cash point and passed it to her 10-year-old brother sitting in the passenger seat of her car.
